In addition to being an essential piece of emergency response in all communities in BC, Paramedics also dedicate thousands hours towards the betterment of our communities.
You will find paramedics volunteering to enhance the safety of our communities through various community events such as:
- By-stander CPR instruction.
- High School CPR instruction. (in partnership with the ACT Foundation www.actfoundation.ca)
- Safety talks at seniors homes.
- Anti – drinking and driving seminars and demonstrations.
- P.A.R.T.Y. Program.
Paramedics also donate thousands of dollars and hours to various community charities, including:
- CKNW Orphans’ Fund
- Canuck Place
- Easter Seal House
- Lions Society
- Cancer Foundation of BC
